Hi Mike.
At this point it looks like those of you  on the list are leaning toward 
C#.net over C++.
As for Learning C# by Jessie Liberty that is a very good book. Just make 
sure you have the latest eddition. The Latest eddition covers the .net 
framework 2.0 which is what you need to know for VS 2005.
